Sparkles & Glitter: Kacey Musgraves is My Muse

Bestow my heart, I have found my living day alter ego in real human form. I must admit that I absolutely adore, love, and am fully inspired by Kacey Musgraves. Queen. Slayer of Country. She is my modern version of Dolly – love her too – down to the gems, sparkles, and over the top element that somehow completely works for her and her music. She killed it at the Grammy’s last night in this Armani number. I think it is one of those dresses that only a very few could actually pull off and she certainly did. A win for me! I had the pleasure of going to her concert last fall and rockin’ out to her in her sparkling, light up bedazzled cowgirl boots – what’s not to love?!!! ​

I don’t know who half the performers or artists for the 2016 Grammy’s are because as a middle earth-ling working mother I don’t have time to watch MTV, VH1, or whatever social outlet exists nowadays to promote the latest and greatest. I just know what I randomly see on I-Tunes or come across haphazardly on other people’s social media feeds as I am not a music guru by any means.

​I had the pleasure of seeing her and the Rhinestone Review last fall and it was one of the best shows of my life. Not only is her music and singing amazing but the costumes are enough to make you go home and paint your entire house pink and gold. My closet country girl is clawing at the walls to come out when I see these images. So much design inspiration for a soft and neutral palette with pops of vibrant colors as well. And, well, who doesn’t love a tiara or ball gown on occasion too?
