Metallic Christmas Tablescape

This year I was dreaming of a different kind of Christmas table and had about a minute to plan for it. I love plaid and the hues of red and green but wanted to mix it up a little. I’m not a fan of traditional Santa anything (really) so this is about as Santa as I get. I’m also not a party planner but having a few relatives over for a feast meant time to spruce up my table and dust off some oldies but goodies as far as dinnerware options were concerned. I love having an all white dish set that is a staple for any occasion. I have a mint green set I also love but it is more challenging to incorporate it into new tablescape designs as the color limits you. I’d recommend to anyone who is unsure what color palette they want to work with to just always go with an all white dinnerware palette so you can mix and match it with whatever scheme you end up selecting. You cannot go wrong!

Christmas Table Design. Where to start? I am not too formal or fancy, or a fan of red, so Christmas stumps me a bit each year. I settled for copper Santa’s (thank you Nordstrom’s Rack for these great copper details and finds – they have an awesome home ware section and the price point is amazing) and metallic silver blue chargers from ZGallerie which I loved finding for a sale bargain as well – only $2.99 a setting! How can you beat that?!! Finding a good housewares sale sings to my soul and I could not resist these especially for that price.

I keep things fairly casual so I found some cute copper Christmas tree lights (battery operated) to run down the table and mixed in some green leafs from the florist to add a bit of earthiness to the layout. There really is not anything too fancy here folks, but I thought I’d share that you can quickly and easily put together a tablescape using what you have stored in your cupboards without breaking the bank to add additional details.

SO this was my end result of ten minutes, a trip to the grocery store for flowers, and pulling out what was in my cupboards. A wintry, metallic Santa-fest of sorts. I just wish I had some glitter in there!​​
