Holy Grail Quest for Palm Leaf Print

I’ve been on the quest from hell to find and get my own set of custom palm leaf print curtains. I am obsessed with this Tommy Bahama Swaying Palms fabric print and was lucky enough to buy yardage so I’m having some of my own whipped up. Ten years ago I would have hated this print, referencing the Golden Girls, but now somehow it seems cool to me. Maybe I’m older, maybe I don’t care what people think anymore, or maybe it’s just recycled itself but somehow the “Dorothy” in me can’t get enough of this. Go on over to Fabric.com to find all kinds of GG-Florida-meets modern day prints to win you over. There are so many great ways to use this print – from pillows, drapes, accent items (table runner, napkins, etc).

I’m working on my own dining room design using this print so I’ll be sure to share once the renovation is complete. Here are some amazing ways to use the fabric without swallowing the space or yourself in it’s bold print. I think with a print like this, it’s key to use it as either the main focal piece (a large burst of it means neutral everything around it) or the vice verse in having small pops of it throughout a room with other colorful accents to mesh with it.

Ode to the palm leaf wallpaper at the Beverly Hills Hotel – I am channeling my inner Dorothy for sure now.

God bless the emerald and green Gods for giving us this print and amazing color and pattern to work with – it will for sure spice up any space with bold ambiance.
